Excitement

Good morning my fellow readers!! Thanks so much for coming back!!

Last night I made the Crock Pot Ribs. They were amazing. The bones just fell out. I ended up making a thick sauce out of the bbq sauce and juices from the meat so I could have some sort of yummy sauce over the ribs. It was super easy, all you need is the cooking liquid (about 3 cups) and 2 tbsp of flour. It like making a gravy. If its still too thin you can always add a little more flour. Make sure you whisk it really well... you don't want lumps.

Here is a picture of how they turned out.

Looks yummy right??

Now to some exciting news....

In exactly 36 hours from now I will be on my way to board a cruise ship!! Eek!!
We have been counting down the months, days and now hours until our trip. This year we have been blessed to be able to travel a lot. But we have really been excited about going on this cruise with the Hubbs family. Seven days in paradise!!

To top it off one of my very best friends is having a baby and I get to go help her out for a week. She is going to have the most precious baby girl ever!! I can't wait to see her and love on her just like Christ is loving on her now! The little one does have a heart condition so they are inducing her on Sunday. If you are the praying kind I would love it if you would pray for her precious little one. I am believing for a HEALTHY baby girl!! The Lord is a God of Healing and Miracles and I know he has a plan for her!

Ok so enough of the sappiness... These next two weeks are going to be absolutely fabulous!!! I know Im back rolling with my blog but I won't have wifi on the ship so Ill say goodbye for now and when we get back I'll make sure to post pictures!!

Crock Pot Ribs

So since I have been a house wife for the past two or so months I have really been searching for some great recipes that will please the hubbs. Like I said yesterday I have inherited some GREAT skills from my parents. My Mom is the queen at making meals up.

Today I decided to post a made up recipe of Barbecue Crock Pot Ribs. Since they are currently cooking I won't have any pictures but if all goes well I'll post pictures tomorrow.

Here is what you will need:
Slab of pork ribs (any kind of ribs will work)
1 bottle Barbecue sauce (I had a 1/4 of a bottle so I just added some water to make it half a bottle)
2 Tbsp Mustard

Since I only had a little left in the barbecue sauce bottle I added all the ingredients in the bottle and poured over the ribs.
I have a small crock pot so I cut the ribs in 1/4 so it would all fit.
Cook for 7-8 hours on low or if you are in a hurry you could cook on High. I really don't recommend this since the meat needs the time to cook and absorb all the yummy sauce. The long cooking time really helps the meat to fall off the bone.

Thats is. Really simple and there is so much you could do with this. You could add a different sauce or add veggies. Its completely up to you. If you don't like mustard then don't add it. But for me, I really like the kick it gives to the bbq sauce.

Have questions or want advice on different variety's? Let me know I'm full of good ideas.

Happy cooking!!

New Adventures

So looks like its been awhile since I posted last! Wow 3 years... Well I'm back and ready to share what's been going on in my Wonderful Married Life!

I lost my job three months ago and am still in the process of finding a new job. The non profit world is very hard to get back into. I'm really excited about what the Lord is doing in our lives. I can't wait to see what He has planned. I have a pretty good lead on a job that I'm supper excited about. I would be working with a wonderful Non Profit Ministry. Their mission and vision is to plant 5 Million Churches around the world. Wow what a task!

So since I have be without a job I've begun to rediscover my interests that have kinda been on the back burner... I have always admired photographers and the amazing work they do. I think it all stems from my dad. He used to be a photographer back in the day. So really from day one I was surrounded by amazing works of art. I'm so glad both of my parents have given me artistic skills. Weather it be mixed media creative intuition or a photogenic eye! Its amazing to look back and see all the wonderful traits your parents pass on.

I am really happy with the way things have been going. I found this awesome free app to edit my photos and add my logo at the bottom. The following are some of my favorites that I have taken over the past few months.

Well that what's new. Hope you enjoy the photos! That adorable dog is my spoiled Dachshund Oscar!
